Statement from Unmasked Presidential Aspirant Amid Ongoing Strike.
The prolonged strike affecting students at Maasai Mara University and other institutions has entered several weeks, leaving learners idle and uncertain about their academic futures. The unmasked presidential aspirant, suspected to be Lomerikwang Jackson, popularly known as Scar Mkadinali, has issued a heartfelt statement addressing the issue.
“Many students are struggling financially as they continue to incur living expenses without receiving the education they are paying for. The prolonged disruption is not only causing financial difficulties but is also having a serious impact on students’ emotional well-being and mental health.
A considerable number of our students reside far from Narok and Maasai Mara University, and they are facing heightened financial strain due to the extended stay in hostels and rental accommodations. With no clear resolution to the strike in sight, I believe it is in the best interest of the students to allow them to return home to their families. This move will alleviate the financial burden on students and their families while providing a more stable and supportive environment during this uncertain period.
We understand the complexities of the situation and the ongoing negotiations between the government and the lecturers’ union. However, we implore the relevant authorities to prioritize the well-being of students and consider our request to officially permit students to return home until the strike is resolved and academic activities can resume.
Despite the current challenges, we remain optimistic that a swift resolution can be reached. We look forward to returning to our studies as soon as possible.on behalf of the students, I appeal to all stakeholders to act swiftly and ensure that students can resume their education in a conducive environment. Thank you, T.A.O and T.A.I.”
