President William Ruto orders the cancellations of infrastructure and energy deals with Indian billionaire Gautam Adani following criminal charges in the US.During his State of the Nation address in Parliament, Ruto said that the Public Private Partnership (PPP) for the expansion of the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO) and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) had been canceled in light of new information.Adani was indicted by the US Department of Justice for his involvement on a bribery scheme involving more than $250 million in payments to Indian government officials to secure solar energy contractions.

According to the US Department of Justice, Adani Green Energy Ltd. was able to raise $175 million under false pretenses by targeting US investors with the fraudulent plan.
